Of the Breakfast at McDonald's
Holiday Day 3.Monday.Had to go back to school for geography lecture.Great.The best thing is,the lectured topic will not even be tested in the up coming block test. What a constructive way to use time.Couldve been spent on a more enjoyable activity:Sleep.Samuel wasnt free today, and Krishna is occupied from now till the end of the March holidays. Therefore we didnt get to go to the exhibition as planned.Oh well,we will be going after the block test anyway.Though its a week or two later but hey,its better than leaving one of them behind and going alone.Anyway,so this morning i digged myself out of bed with an imaginary chisel and out of home.Though i ate some bread in the morning before i left,i was still starving from head to toe. Therefore after the lecture JiaYing proposed that we go to the McDonalds to have breakfast.Hmm.Its been awhile since i had McDonald's breakfast. In fact the best part of McDonald's is in fact, the breakfast. However, before that we went up to the 4th level to grab some postcards that JiaYing really wanted of a guy she seems to have a crush on.Perhaps not a crush, more like an "Eye-Candy" sort of thing. So on the way she and her friend,i think her name is Carine, gossiped about how handsome he his,how impressive he is.(He's an all-rounder.)I personally dont think much of him,he looks pretty ordinary.I guess girls' tastes of guys are somewhat different from the guys' point of view, vice versa.Anyway, while they went on and on and drooling all over the postcard(Not really, exaggeration.),Rachel and I were chit chatting about life. And so,we reached the McDonald's at Serangoon Central, and bought our food and started eating.Well, what more can a bunch of teenagers do while sitting around a table and have breakfast eh?Talked about school, students,ex students, teachers and ex teachers. The usual.Soon after,we were about to leave the place. However, the departure was somewhat interrupted by the fact that the girls wanted to head to the loo first.Argh.So as a gentleman i am i waited outside the McDonald's.(Pure self-satisfactory statement.)Those police who were adding cash to the atm machine outside the McDonald's eyed me curiously, since i was walking up and down the corridor beside the machine.Thought i was about to toss out a gun and kill them, then grab the safe which was already half loaded with cash then dash off into my friend's van. This is not Ocean's Eleven or Italian Job dude, calm down.Im in school uniform, what the hell can i do?JiaYing and Carine came out first, and told me that Rachel was still in the toilet, and they'll leave first.Oh well,so i said goodbye to them and continued waiting for Rachel.I waited so long,i was wondering if she already came out and left a long time ago.I couldnt go in a check or anything, since that'll be regarded as an indecent act.So i waited outside and tried calling her a couple of times. No,she didnt answer. Finally,i was out of patience.I left the place.Just when i crossed the road to head on home,a familiar voiced called out to be from across the road.It was Rachel running down the slope, with her badminton racket in one hand and her bulky back on.She looked ridiculous, looked like a lobster.Haha.So i sat on the back of a lorry, while waiting for her to cross the street.Argh.Oh well,so we strolled back towards school.Said goodbye to her as she turned right to her bus stop,as i continued towards the pavement beside the drain. As i walked home i thought, looking at the way JiaYing and Carine drooled over that person's picture, got me wondering if the theory is indeed true, that everybody has to like somebody.Oh well, think about it.I bet the ugliest, fattest, thinnest, geekiest guy in school likes somebody.Remember that malnutrition guy i mentioned?I bet he likes somebody too.The truth is,everybody needs to like and be liked. However, due to the cruelty of life itself, not everybody has the luxury of the latter part i mentioned. However, liking someone lives within everyone. Its like a build-in antenna in a handphone i guess. It's already there, but we dont see it.They have to like somebody i guess?Oh well, which got me thinking.I guess she likes somebody too.Just that she's too taken up with her work in school, that she's holding back her liking.Oh well, cant blame her for liking some guy can i?He's probably that basketball dude she mentioned to Siti awhile ago while they passed by the basketball court.I didnt read much into it but,a crush is a crush. He must have all the qualities huh?Good looks, nice body and a brain. In which i have none.Argh.What can i say? She's got good taste.I am mentally prepared for the day when her Friendster profile, under "Status" is changed to "In a Relationship".Having said that,i doubt if i would be able to hold back the pain when one day i see it.im sure nobody would like the feeling of the person you like, liking somebody else right? If everybody like somebody, she's gotta like somebody too, isnt it?Hmm.Just one of those thoughts while walking home...

Jimmy McGinty,'You know what the difference is between a winner and a loser?'
Shane Falco,'The score.'

Jimmy McGinty,'Here's a list of people I've been keeping my eye on over the years. They've all played football somewhere, not all of them in the pros. But they all have something unique to bring to the game. We're gonna take those people and try to put together a winning team. If nothing else, they should be fun to watch.'

Jimmy McGinty,' You're looking at a 65-yard field goal here.'
Nigel "The Leg" Gruff,'You just hold the ball, Shane, and I'll kick the bloody piss out of it.'

Shane Falco,'Why me?'
Jimmy Falco,'I look at you and I see two men: the man you are and the man you oughtta be. Someday those two men will meet, and it should make for one hell of a football player.'

[Jamal comes to Shane's rescue, after Shane's car was overturned by Martel and his friends.]
